FARAFINA is the Bambara word for Africa. Our goal is to Tell Our Own Stories by showcasing the best in contemporary African ideas.

Submissions of up to 2500 words are welcome by email, in Microsoft Word format only, to submissions@farafinamagazine.com.

We prefer short stories, exposes, interviews, reviews, essays, cartoons, drawings and photographs. Submissions should be original, topical and should relate to any part of Africa, or to people of African ancestry living in any part of the world. Unsolicited poetry will neither be acknowledged nor published. A submission will receive a response within 30 days. Letters to the editor should be sent to letters@farafinamagazine.com.
